Lost One

It's been a rough patch for me this year when it comes to losing the ones I love. Age or sickness have both taken away a number of people I have known for most of my life here on earth. Now I'm hoping that there is not another I have to add to that list. One of my best friends has started to participate in some shady dealings due to personal hard times and this new economic crisis. The last time I heard from him he told me that he wasn't sure how his day would end and if something happened to him that I needed to tell his family that he was just trying to survive. I have yet to hear from him. I'm not ready for another one of those phone calls.
